Dave Wheaton is the KBHT Program Director and KBHT Morning Show Host. He is also director of all of the Big Country Legends imaging and commercial production. Dave is also the "Resident Yankee". So, if anything bad happens in your life, you can feel free to blame Dave...because he's a yankee!

In his own words:

I was born the sixth of seven kids raised in Battle Creek, Michigan. That's where I've been...until now! Most of my family is still in Michigan.

I have a degree in broadcast communications and am currently working toward a bachelor's degree in business/marketing. I have been in the radio business for over 15 years in Michigan and Indiana, and have worked in a number of different formats including adult contemporary, sports, classic hits, news-talk, and now I'm thrilled to bring my experience to Big Country Legends. Coming here has given me my first radio opportunity outside Midwest.

My son, Nathan, and I are real glad to be here and I'm very happy to be part of the 93-5 KBHT family. We miss our friends and family in Michigan, but we will not miss our snow shovel one bit! We are both excited about living in East Texas, and look forward to the chance to get involved in the community and learning more about how y'all do things around here (did I use y'all correctly? I'm still working on that).
